The show opened with a bang – well, actually with STAN (THE MAN) LEE cutting the ribbon and getting the key to the city AND having Long Beach proclaim October 2, 2009 Stan Lee Day!

Enjoy the pics … but for your warlord of marketing, perhaps my favorite moment was seeing a guy about my age with a stack of 70s DC and Marvel books, who didn’t wait to read his books – he sat against a pillar and dove into his new purchases. It made my day.
